This rolling weekly peer based writing session is for clients who are looking to explore their creativity through the use of the written and spoken word. Anyone with any experience or not is welcome, just a keenness to explore is required.
These practical peer support groups focus on the here and now in an informal and safe environment where people can share their experiences and connect with peers. They aim to build on and help develop self-awareness and resilience.
This is a 9 sessions programme where clients are invited initially to have an information sessions and complete a screening assessment which supports the completion of the modules, Each of the modules covers 2 sessions and is Dialectal behaviour therapy informed. A 6 session rolling group which explores common emotions, a range of methods and models for managing emotions (including distress tolerance and mindfulness) day to day and exploring the components of what builds resilience.
