Level Two Peer Mentoring
This course trains students to become Peer Mentors – positive role models of recovery who have a presence within the recovery service. They support the delivery of education, therapeutic and peer support-based groups.
The course covers subjects such as what mentoring is, relationships and boundaries within mentoring, mentoring techniques and much more.
This course is the foundation to becoming a Peer Mentor or Recovery Support Volunteer within Nottingham Recovery Network and for our Recovery Connector roles within The Academy.
The Mentoring Course is delivered through taught sessions at the Nottingham Wellbeing Hub on Houndsgate.
Both courses are accredited by our awarding organisation Skills and Education Group (SEG) and lead to a qualification in progression.
After completing the Level Two Peer Mentoring Course, our clients may go on to become volunteers helping others on their recovery journey, and giving back to those who need support.
